Mostly good, minor issues

We just got back from El Cid La Ceiba Beach in Cozumel. The scuba diving package was great, really enjoyed that part, and the ocean view room was lovely. Customer service was generally helpful when I had a question about the snorkeling tours. My only small gripe was the Wi-Fi in our room was a bit spotty sometimes, had to reconnect a few times. But overall, a solid trip and we had a good time.

Good deal, decent stay

I booked a family suite at El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel for spring break. It was a pretty good deal with the kids stay free offer. The booking process was straightforward. The resort was nice enough, though not super fancy. Felt like I got good value for what I paid.

Consistent Mazatlan experience

This was my third time staying at an El Cid resort in Mazatlan, and my second time at El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel. They're consistently reliable. The all-inclusive dining plan was just as I remembered, plenty of options. Airport transfers were smooth, as usual. It's why I keep coming back, I know what to expect and they deliver. No surprises, which is what I want for a relaxing getaway.

Amazing beach vacation!

Oh my goodness, my trip to El Cid Ventus Ha was just incredible! The infinity pools were stunning, and the private beach access was a dream. Everything was so clean and the staff were so friendly. I seriously cannot wait to book another trip. I am telling all my friends about this place, they have to go!

Quick question about El Cid promo codes. Can you stack them? Like, if I find a Black Friday deal, can I also use a 'first stay' discount or something?

S Sam Clark 1 week ago
Nah, pretty sure you can't stack them. Every time I've tried, it only lets me use one code at checkout. It usually says in the fine print they can't be combined.

B Ben Robinson 1 week ago
Nope, they almost always say 'cannot be combined with other offers' in the terms. You gotta pick the best one for your booking.

Does El Cid usually offer airport transfers, or do I need to figure out my own ride from the airport in Mazatlan?

L Laura Moore 1 week ago
They totally do! I booked one through them when I went to the Marina Beach. It was super easy, just make sure to add it to your reservation or call them up to arrange it.

L Laura White 1 week ago
Yeah, they usually have options for transfers. Saves a lot of hassle rather than trying to find a taxi or shuttle on your own when you first land.

Looking at El Cid for a family trip, specifically the all-inclusive. Does that really mean EVERYTHING, like all the restaurants and drinks? Or are there hidden charges once you're there?

E Emma R. 3 weeks ago
Pretty much everything food and drink wise. Some of the fancier restaurants or premium liquor might be extra, but the main ones are included. Check the specific resort page for details, it can vary a little.

Nah, it's pretty good. My family went to the Castilla and almost everything was covered. You might pay for like, a super high-end steak or a specific wine, but all the buffet and most a la carte places, plus endless drinks, are part of it.

Thinking of El Cid Ventus Ha vs. Dreams or Barcelo for a Riviera Maya trip. Has anyone stayed at El Cid Ventus Ha? How does it stack up, especially for amenities or food quality?

J Jeff L. 2 weeks ago
I've done El Cid Ventus Ha and it was decent. Food was good, not amazing, but solid. Dreams tends to be a bit more upscale on the food side in my experience, but Ventus Ha's pools were awesome. Really depends on what you value more.

Ventus Ha is nice, kinda chill. If you're comparing directly, Dreams usually has slightly better service and maybe more gourmet food options. El Cid is a bit more 'classic' all-inclusive vibe.

Hey, thinking of booking an El Cid resort in Mazatlan for spring break. Anyone know if those 'kids stay free' deals actually pop up for spring break, or is that more of a summer thing?

R Robert Evans 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I think they do! I saw some last year around that time when I was looking, but they usually pair it with other discounts like early bird stuff.

They definitely have them for spring break sometimes. My sister snagged one a couple years ago. Just keep an eye on their site, those seasonal sales pop up pretty regularly.
